Report: Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe – Mass at St. Titus

A Traditional Latin Mass in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161, Traditional Latin Mass Guild, was held on Saturday, 12 December, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa. The celebrant was Canon Jean-Marie Moreau, Rector of St. Anthony of Padua Oratory, West Orange, NJ of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. Mass was followed by a Pre-Christmas luncheon in the church hall. The PLMC, Inc. provided liturgical and logistical support.

Director Cynthia Medvitz presenting Canon Jean-Marie Moreau with a check from the PLMC to help the Institute of Christ the King to recover from the fire that devastated the Shrine of Christ the King in Chicago in October.

A Traditional Latin High Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary was celebrated on Monday, 7 October 2013 at Saint Titus Church, Aliquippa PA – sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161 Traditional Latin Mass Guild. The celebrant was Canon Matthew Talarico of the Institute of Christ the King. The Sixth Annual Battle of Lepanto Dinner followed immediately after Mass with guest speaker Dr. Timothy Williams, of Franciscan University of Steubenville.

We fly to thy patronage, O holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our necessities, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.

An ancient prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the oldest known version of which is found on an Egyptian papyrus from the 3rd century. This prayer is used in Litanies to the Blessed Mother and as a concluding prayer to Compline. A partial indulgence is granted to the faithful who recite it.
