Report: 9th Annual Lepanto Mass at St. Titus

A traditional Latin Solemn High Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary was celebrated on Tuesday, 18 October 2016 at Saint Titus Church, Aliquippa PA – sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Woodlawn Council 2161 Traditional Latin Mass Guild.
The celebrant was Bishop Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Mary Most Holy, Astana, Kazakhstan.
The PLMC, Inc. provided logistical and liturgical support.

“Big Check” Presentation, P.L.M.C. Chairman, Robert Medvitz, presents the annual seminary fund gift for the benefit of the Fraternity of St. Peter Seminary in the United States. Mr. Eric Frankovitch graciously received the gift as ad hoc liason between the P.L.M.C. and the Fraternity.
Our annual seminary appeal for the traditional seminaries will occur in December 2016 and all are invited to send a tax deductible donation to this worthy cause.

The gift was a leather bound, 1st edition volume of a scholarly biography entitled:

Reverend Father Eugene J Dougherty – Requiescat in pace
Reverend Father Eugene J. Dougherty, chaplain of the Pittsburgh Latin Mass Community, died peacefully in his sleep at 12:39 a.m., September 8, 2016, the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary to whom he had great devotion. Visitation will be at St. Boniface Church, 2208 East Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 on Tuesday, September 13 from 4 p.m. until start of the regular Mass at 7 p.m., with additional visitation following Mass until 9 p.m. Father’s funeral Mass will be a traditional Latin Solemn High Requiem Mass at St. Boniface on Wednesday, September 14 at 9 a.m.
Requiem aeternam dona ei, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace. Amen.
